3 months old! musings...
So often a picture is worth 1000 words. and a video is worth a million. but there are some things that are just hard to capture...
Alex can now find and grab his feet with ease. With this has come a much easier time rolling to his side, and occasionally over onto his belly. *Occasionally* he can also flip back over, though more often than not by the time he gets over the first time he's exhausted and falls asleep! He's also figuring out that when he flips over his knees are more bent and then he can push off with his feet easier against the floor or bed... Watch out world - and watch out mommy and daddy!
He continues to be a very vocal & social little guy, offering his opinion on everything from food to music to change of scenery... or lack thereof. He continues to be wonderfully easy going and loves everybody. Which is great because everybody loves him!
He is enjoying arching his back over the boppy so he can look at the world upsidedoan. He is also getting much better at arching his back and raising his head up during tummy time! He is insanely tall and, as you can see from the pictures, still devastatingly handsome :) His beautiful dark hair is slowly giving way to a lighter blonde which is growing in underneath to form some rather trendy highlights.
We have been taking him all over now and introducing him to various people and places. He just eats it all up. His favorite things are mommy & daddy, food, clean dry diapers, fresh onesies, baths, car rides, people, people singing to him, trying out his new-found physical abilities, talking up a storm, and life. He is not so much a fan of wet or dirty diapers, wet onesies, being hungry, or gas. He occasionally talks in his sleep. For some reason he thinks monkey sounds are the funniest things on earth. He seems to actually grasp looking at a computer or tv screen and watching with interest what's on it. He enjoys the swing (thanks Nonna & Grandpa Bob!) - and so does mommy when he just wants motion and doesn't really care if it's from mommy carrying him or the swing! He hasn't shown much interest in toys yet, but loves to interact with "the baby in the mirror" - and seems to actually understand that it is he and his mommy that he sees!
He brings such love and joy not just to us, but carries it to people everywhere he goes. We pray he keeps that forever! Happy 3-month-old Birthday Baby!
